Holiday blues getting you down?
Nostalgic for your family’s roast turkey and pumpkin pie, but no one knows knows what you’re talking about?!
Don your Pilgrim hat, Native American headdress, Indian Bindi, or smallpox blanket, and join us for a potluck dinner to remember. It’s like Thanksgiving at your grandparent’s house, but with more turkeys, more alcohol, and none of the bickering relatives!
When: 22 November 2018 @ 19:00
Where: Agudat Hastudentim (Bldg. 107, 1st Floor), Bar-Ilan University.
SPOTS ARE LIMITED SO RSVP ASAP!
Just because you’re not with family, doesn’t mean you should miss out on the traditional Thanksgiving staples. We’ll provide the turkeys, and you bring a dish from your Grandmother’s recipe box.
Note: All food must be Kosher Rabbanut (Meat or Parve).
If you can’t cook or buy something premade, thats okay! Just purchase a ticket below, and we’ll make something for you!Tell Us What You're Bringing
It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without the Macy’s Day Parade, and we’ll be livestreaming it in the background. Plus, we’ll be running a Trivia Challenge with arbitrary prizes, giving toasts, and more! It’s like Thanksgiving at your parent’s house – but without all the bickering over politics.
The Family You *Choose*
The holidays – and life in Israel – is hard without your family, but what is the Givat Shmuel Community if not an extended family of other lone(ly) olim. Join us all, share thanks, and remember: you don’t need to spend the holiday alone!
