After six years of allowing Givat Shmuel residents to park for free, the Municipality plans to introduce a (nominal) fee for residential parking passes.
As explained on Gabashnik, starting from January 2016, residents will be required to pay 20NIS to receive a parking pass for the first car owned by a family, with the second and third cars costing 50NIS. These parking passes will be valid for three years, and allow residents to park anywhere “blue-and-white” just like the current passes.
Renewals until the end of the year will remain free.
