Alsheich Nominated as Israeli Police Commissioner

Former Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) deputy head and current Givat Shmuel resident Roni Alsheich has been nominated for the position of Israeli Police CommissionerShowImage. Unknown to the Israeli public before last week, Alsheich has spent almost three decades in the Shin Bet, working in the shadows in a series of command roles including in Jerusalem, Yehuda V’Shomron, and the Southern District. The 52-year-old married father of seven and grandfather of seven had previously lived in Kochav Hashahar before moving a few years ago to Givat Shmuel.
