It’s time for a new logo.
That’s right – The GSC has partnered with 99Designs to launch a logo design contest, with a $500 prize for the winner!
It’s been eight years since we founded the GSC – Givat Shmuel Community (R.A). In that time, we’ve watched our community triple in size and truly blossom into Israel’s #1 community for lone Olim – students, soldiers and bnot sherut, young professionals and parents, and others who left their families and friends behind in pursuit of living the Israel dream. We’ve seen our initiatives inspire innovation in other cities, and our community members take leadership positions across the country. It’s unbelievable what our volunteer-run organization has been able to accomplish – and we can’t wait to do more!
We outgrew our logo a long time ago, but thanks to the 99nonprofits grant program from 99designs, we can finally get a logo that conveys who we’ve become and is as inspiring as the young immigrants who call Givat Shmuel home.
Applicants will be able to submit their designs no later than Thursday, 3 September 2020.
On 13 September 2020, we’ll announce our six finalists, who will receive our feedback and be given three days to make any changes. The winner will be announced by 4 October 2020.
Please note: applicants must be members of the 99design platform.
The six finalists will be selected a few ways: three finalists by the 99designs staff, two by the GSC executive board, and one by community vote. The winner will be chosen by a majority vote of a panel of five judges and a community poll worth two votes.
